All Alabama League members are welcomed and encouraged to attend! You do not have to be a delegate to attend. Please let your local League know that you are attending. 

You may attend convention virtually or in-person.  Please do plan to attend in person if possible. Non-business events will only be available to in-person attendees. And it's so much more fun that way!

The LWV of Mobile is excited to host a welcome reception for those attending Council. 

Please join us and enjoy a glass of wine and graze an array of craft cheeses and other finger foods as we greet old friends and new while perusing three fascinating exhibits: “Dangerous Landscapes,” “Wata Ways,” and “Threads of (dis)Integration.”  Visit Exhibitions – Alabama Contemporary Art Center for more details about what will be on display.

The venue is a convenient 3 block walk from the Downtown Hampton Inn & Suites. Mobile also offers free metered street parking on the weekends beginning Friday at 6 p.m. For those who have a League of Women Voters pin, we ask that you please wear it to help museum staff identify you as our guest.

Friends and family are welcome to join us.


All aboard for a guided tour of Africatown and the Heritage House Museum and healing garden.


We will be picked up at the Hampton Inn by a 35 passenger tour bus and our tour guide ric Finley.  First stop, the Heritage House Museum and Healing Garden. We will also get a look at the Mobile County Training School, founded in 1880, and their newly created ecological garden.  Then the bus will be take us on a tour of downtown Africatown, The Avenue, and The Bottoms before returning us to our hotel in Mobile. 


The cost of the tour bus is $33.00/person.

Register to attend the Council business meeting virtually! Information about the Zoom meeting will be sent to all who register to attend virtually.  Any Alabama League member may attend virtually whether or not a delegate. No other events will be available online.
